Spoke with the guy who actually test fit them to a 1968 GTX.
Went ahead and ordered them so now it's wait and see.
Didn't want to take the chance of missing out on a decent looking set of moldings.
I was told that they are definitely for my car but like you said, have to buy it to try it.
I'll talk to him again tomorrow.
Interesting but I did wonder if I could adapt the Dodge ones to fit if needed?
Someone on the SPI website mentioned a guy who sells Mopar Parts and might have the moldings I need. His name is John Forkey (?) Does anybody know him or his business name that I might contact him?
I believe you are correct. The guy selling them told me they were for a Charger only.
This is a bummer since the car originally had at least one them installed when it was at that body shop. I can see it in a couple of the pictures. They probably didn't return them to the owner when he got...
Turns out that I do not have those moldings.
Anyone have a source for them. Looking on line hasn't given me much hope.
I found some for a '68 charger but not sure if they will fit the GTX?
Finally got the right window felt kit.
However I am not sure what these clip nuts are for? Looked through the service manual but couldn't find any information on them.
Turns out I did order the convertible seals by mistake.
Should've read the description all the way to the bottom for that was where it said "convertible."
Sending them back and getting the correct ones.
Like I said, the quality seemed real good and they are made in the USA.
So I ordered the window felt kit form Classic Industries made by Repops.
The door felts seem to be of good quality and look as though they will fit. However not the case with the quarter window felts. They are nearly 8" too short as can be seen in this picture:
Double checked the part number...
Wish I would have taken more car when removing the old ones. I just ripped them off thinking I would be buying new.
Bought the kit and it's two pieces short, contacted them about it and nothing . . .
Anybody have two of these Rocker Panel molding clips for sale?
The package I bought is two short of what I need. Hate to buy a whole other package for just two clips.
Getting ready to install the door weather stripping. In the manual it shows two fasteners at the vent window needed but I have no idea what they are? My guess would be screws of some sort.
I needed this reminder. It seems it has take forever to get this far.
The car had been completely dismantled by this shop and the owner got it back with the engine and tranny on a pallet, as well as boxes full of other parts.
Digging through the piles of stuff I have in a storage shed was when...
This is exactly why I love this site so much. Tons of great information and knowledgeable people willing to help.
My car was built in late 1967 so it does have somethings the later models didn't. Like the 150 mph speedometer.
CAR: Plymouth GTX 2 Door Hardtop
ENGINE: 440cid 4-bbl HP V8...
