Thanks man I just wanted to know before I put it in my charger done put a 400 in it that runs crappie bad valves or cam wanted this one right because that's lots of work to keep changing engines but the 400 has 60psi
The motor is inshop hanging on a chain hoist you can't rev it much wants to turn over maybe 2000 rpm and it didn't get over 35psi and only 30psi with drill and someone spinning motor with starter
I'll try that next it runs missing but not a dead miss but when you try to go over half throttle it starts backfiring and won't rev it also goes dead every time you put it in gear so I crank it in gear no nuertal safety switch
Where are the dodge charger folks mounting aftermarket tachs?was gonna put it on steering column but can't see the speedometer then would like too put it in dash where there suppose to be a clock but can't figure out how to get all that out to install it
I got a 400 big block out of a 77 newport with lean burn I ditched the carburetor and distributor for a points distributor and a holley avenger 770cfm I set the timing around 8 to 10 btdc seems like that's where it ran the best which still is not smooth it misses and backfires threw carburetor...
