There was another article on here that I had read. The area they are talking about is a flat area on the block by the dust cover. Was the oil pan fine after doing it this way? Did you take out just the motor mount or the bracket it attaches to as well?

I believe I need to change the driver side motor mount but I have questions. I want to roll the engine to the right by jacking up the left side by the dust cover. Do the bolts on the right have to be loosened or off? Do I take out the entire bracket the mount attaches to… the one that bolts to...

I know this is an old thread… When lifting on the rear of the engine, do I lift from one side then the other so it rolls?
