    Chrome In A Can?

Almost. In the past, these have all sucked and been nowhere near chrome, but I tried this one on whim and it's pretty decent. A good product for budget projects. I did some arm rest bases and at a glance most people I doubt will even notice.

    69 Charger Headrest Rebuild ?

Rather than emptying my bank account to buy some, I'd be satisfied with rebuilding my own. They are slightly yellowed a little, but the match the white seat color ok. To get the job done however, I have two hurdles I cannot seem to find answers to: 1. How does the chrome ring that goes over the...

69 Charger RT 440/727 - How Long Should Stock Sway Bar Links Be?

The ones on the car are 6" bolts. They are old, but not sure if original. Rebuild kit comes with 8" bolts and a +2 inch longer spacer, so the bar will hang 2 inches lower. I want the car to maintain stock appearance and the 8" bolts just don't look right to me. Can anyone tell me...

    Classic Industries on a Diet?

Just got my Catalog M224X and it is looking much leaner than the previous M222. It looks like every section has been trimmed down to fighting weight. I'm not sure if there is actually less stuff in it yet?

Subject is a 71 B body chrome racing mirror, passenger side, non-remote: I want to take the glass out of the housing to give to a pal's son for the project car they are doing together. When I flex the mirror glass I can see two philips head screws in there, but they are unreachable with a...

    C eh, N eh, D eh.

A long early morning drive to the Mopar gathering, the rumble of a 440, a clear road ahead through the backroads, and an ominous red sun signaling the approaching wildfire smoke. It's a good day here, but wishing safety to our northern brothers.

FOR SALE Original Tic Tock Tach

I rebuilt my cluster and went back to just a clock as the car is supposed to have, so I have no need for this unit. It did not work in the car, which turned out to be driven by the fact that it was not connected to anything. So..... I do not know if anything works on it. You should probably...

From the files of "Things You Cannot Control"

As of today, the spouse has crashed 6 of the 8 cars she has ever had, one of them twice. No drink/drug driving either, just the worst driver on the planet. This time making a turn into a driveway... no, not from the curb lane, but from the from the second lane over. DUH! Thankfully, she has...

9 Month Wait For a Stock 440 Rebuild, and Then This

I dropped the original 440 for my 69 Charger off at the machine shop for a "stone stock rebuild" last summer. He was supposed to call me once the block was tanked and crank turned before we picked pistons and cam. Instead I got a call yesterday that it was done and ready for pickup. I was half...

What Was The Process for How Cars Were Configured?

I have often wondered when pondering fender tags, how/who came up with all the car configurations and options? On a customer-ordered car it is obvious, but for other cars was it Chrysler, the dealers or both? I suspect it was mostly Chrysler. Is there any info on the subject of how car...

My First Paint Job in 20 Years - Axalta Paint?

It looks like Axalta has several single stage paints (it's what the local shop caries)...... wondering what people might recommend for a fairly novice painter (4 cars, 4 race/demo cars) with reasonable, but rusty skills? Considering that I will probably be sanding and polishing the paint out...
