Thanks all for your help deciphering this one! It actually became kind of fun reading and learning.
It is for sale of you know anyone looking for a rebuilt transmission.
Thanks!
This is actually getting interesting...
You notice it does not start with a "PK"
"A 67 trans could have an H or a J which would be 66 or 67."
This transmission is looking more and more like a 67. The 10,000 calender didn't start till 1968. Therefore decoding the date will not work.
Well if I go with what the guy told me that sold it to me it's from a 68 Charger with a 383. Which does match what that J2801543 number is.
The guy that is interested is asking for a VIN though, and I have nothing.
Hi,
I'm selling my 727 transmission and a guy wanted my VIN, so I gave him what is just above the pan.
It's comes out to a 67-68 383 2br
He said that's not the VIN, it should be stamped where the bellhousing is bolted on to the engine.
I see nothing! Then I read something that they didn't...
I am having the hardest time finding these parts for the 71-72 B-body's for the Quarter window.
Can someone guide me to the correct place?
I need the spring and retainer. 23-64-276 & 23-64-293
Thanks!
Hello, looking for an antenna for a 71-72 Satellite/Roadrunner.
I really just need the cable and dohicky that it's attached too. I have the actual antenna part itself.
Must be in good shape. Thanks!
It's a 1972 Satellite.
I think the answer to everything should be, "Get a Service Manual" then delete all forums because it would make them obsolete.
Internet? smh... old school technology. They have books for that!
