When I lived in San Diego the soft and sticky tires were great and no real weather to worry about, but up here rain and ponding on these worn out roads along with idiots who can’t drive really create challenges sometimes. Some years ago I had some really sticky low profile tires on the Charger...
Well at least they were made the same year so I guess that’s a good thing. I have learned more about tire dates and since my plan is to replace based on age rather than mileage I will be reading tire dates on replacement tires.
I had planned on getting at least 10 years out of these Cooper...
Not many miles on those tires, have had them balanced and rotated. I have spent considerable money at Discount Tire on 4 of my 5 vehicles so I think my issue will be heard and maybe they will give me a credit on new tires.
Plus I have bought at least 3 sets of wheels as well. I am looking...
Ok, maybe I got it right this time. 0319 and that should be March of 2019 which means the tires were somewhat “fresh” when I got them. Really unfortunate for them because now they will lose my support and I will search out different brands and go from there.
I hope this helps anyone else here...
I will have to check the dates on my tires. I didn’t do it when I bought them. Either way they should at least give me some credit for these tires. I am still really bummed about this situation.
I don’t want to spend even more money on Michelin tires like my daily driver because I don’t...
Purchased at Discount Tire and I am going to talk with them. I am aware they are made outside of the US, what isn’t these days.
I really am disappointed but I am going to research more tires and see what else is available. Wet weather performance is absolutely essential for me and these tires...
Looking over my car and I noticed the tires are cracking and that means no drive time until new tires are installed.
I am not happy with this situation because the tires are just barely 5 years old and have been balanced and rotated as I do with all my cars. Has anyone else noticed this with...
I run Cooper Cobra tires 255/70/15 all around on my 3rd gen Charger on A/R 15x8 and still have room. I went with 70 series to get a taller tire to help fill out the opening. Makes a great footprint and these tires handle wet roads really nice.
Just my opinion and experience and that’s all...
The last time I had a Firestone tire on one of my cars was 1977 and that one literally went up in flames. Bridgestone is also part of Firestone as well so I will not knowingly purchase any tires made by these clowns. Just my opinion and personal experience and that’s all.

Black side out for me, and Cooper Cobra tires are really solid and shed water very well in my opinion.

The 3rd gen Chargers have large wheel openings and for me this really fills that up and rotating tires is a must for me as well. This car has a real good foot print and handles nicely. The tires are wide enough but don’t get the wear problems associated with the super wide low profile tires...
A/R Polished 15 x 8 with 255/70R15 all the way around on the Charger. A/R Polished 16 x 7 with 225/60R/16 all around on the Sport Fury.

Interesting! Looks like the tires are going downhill so maybe we can put our collective ingenuity together here and create some type of gel or coating that would magically keep our tires in a constant state of Brand Spanking Knew......never need to buy tires again......hhmmmmm. Any ideas...
