ok, thanks. The owner says they are stamped 15x7 and 15x6 but actually measure 8" and 7". He said they all wheel are 1" wider than stamped. Any truth to this?
Anyone know why 2 of these have extra holes and what they are for? Can anyone confirm the numbers are 15x7 and 15x8? Also will this set hold Dodge caps or are they a missed matched set with the extra bump on the front?
Thanks for your help!
I can verify that 15x10 with 5.5 bs and 30x12 MT rub the right rear spring and inner fender on my '68 Charger when turning left. I added a 1/4' spacer and its all good now.
I had 275/60 on 15x8 and just mounted M/T SR 30x12 on Weld Prostar 15x10s. Here is a pic of both rear tires. I picked the SR's because of the size availability and I want them to last more than a few thousand miles like the ET Streets.
If you are drag racing you need the ET streets, but they are only good for 5000 - 6000 miles depending on how hard you drive it. My car is street light-to-light fun and I wanted a tire that would last longer.
I bought the M/T Sportsman S/R's for my '68 and will have them on this week. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/street.php?item=SportsmanSR
IMO the Pro's are more for a duce coupe/hot rod look.
295x50 is about a 26.5x11.5. A 30x12 is like a 305x65 and a 29x12 is close to 305x60.
Here is a cool site that translates tire sizes for you and allows you to compare two tires. https://tiresize.com/comparison/
I am looking to buy a set of Weld ProStars for my '68 Charger. They only offer 5.5 or 4.5 bs. I want to run a 29x12 or 30x12 tire, and heard a 5.5 bs rubs the springs. Is anyone running a set up close to this and can tell me if this would fit?
