1967 coronet dash board removal with glassin

Strangely the middle hole is smaller than the other five and is directly in the center. There must be a reason for that, not sure.

1967 coronet dash board removal with glassin

Somewhat related - how many screws are used to attach the dash to the cowl below the windshield? I thought (5), but there is this sixth hole that is very close to one in the center. See attached. Do you add another clip and screw here and make it six? This is a '70 B body. Thanks.

68-70 B body hardtop QTR glass woes

Yes, it is a mess. Luckily, my vent glass from ECS was ok. I never did update this and will now. The Qtr glass was too tall by 1/4". My solution was to cut the arm of the regulator by 1/4" and weld back together. This is the arm that connects to the pivot bushing on the glass frame. Did that...

68-70 B body hardtop QTR glass woes

So the verdict is......The AMD qtr glass is too tall. Charles was a tremendous help and measured his original qtr glass. Comparing his to the new AMD piece, the new glass was consistently 1/4"+ taller. Only a 1/4", but it is that last 1/4" rise where the regulator moves mostly forward and only a...

68-70 B body hardtop QTR glass woes

Perfect and thanks. I may be barking up the wrong tree, but just have to check for everything that can go wrong. I did find the part number for the frame and that is correct. All the other parts match the mounting holes with no issue. The regulator looks to be the same as what I have seen, but...

68-70 B body hardtop QTR glass woes

I had hoped it was the adjustments, but not sure. The glass hits the rubber seal above and cannot go up any further. And it needs to move at least 3/4" forward to look like yours. You can tell it needs to up more because of the emblem on the glass. If I could get the regulator go up more, it...

68-70 B body hardtop QTR glass woes

I am replacing the door and QTR glass on my '70 RR hardtop. The AMD door glass fit ok. The AMD QTR glass not too good. Granted, the qtr window mechanicals were in a bag when i bought the car, but it was all there. I have looked at countless pictures and videos and am sure I have the mechanicals...

1970 Roadrunner Deck Lid Bump Stops?

New bumpers made my RR decklid sit high on one side and low on the other. The high side, I sanded the bumper with a 400 grit disc until it was correct. The low side I added a piece of EPDM rubber and cut to shape. Super glue bonds rubber very easily.

Unknown holes in engine bay - '70 Roadrunner

Ah yes. Thank you for jogging my memory. The harness does have that pop in fastener and is built in to the harness. Ok. that is solved.

Unknown holes in engine bay - '70 Roadrunner

I bought a similar kit but only had (5) of the straps. Attached is the picture I am going by and isn't mine. (3) hold the washer tube, (1) is for the engine harness going to the bottle and horn on the right side and (1) on the left side for the positive battery cable at the shock tower. Are we...

Unknown holes in engine bay - '70 Roadrunner

Trying to figure out a couple of holes that are in my engine bay. '70 Roadrunner - 440+6, 4 speed. See two attached pics. 1) In the first pic, the hole in question (orange circle) is between the two well know wire harness straps. This spot is hidden in all engine bay pics by the battery. 2)...

AMD door and QTR glass - 70 B Body

The glass was obviously incorrect when it landed on my shelf four years ago. I had some glass that was from another car and was tinted, so I couldn't use it. But I compared the new glass to tinted ones and mainly focused on the outer shape not so much the curvature. My mistake there I guess...

AMD door and QTR glass - 70 B Body

Thanks for the reply. If others have thoughts, I would appreciate it. I will lose some bucks with AMD but at least the project will move on and won't have to wait several months. Does the AMD have the logo or is it just plain?

AMD door and QTR glass - 70 B Body

Does anybody have experience with AMD door and QTR glass. I have read plenty about the back glass. I have a full set of glass from ECS that I bought new 4 years ago. Front and back glass are OK and made them work. The problem is the side glass. Too much curve on the door and qtr glass. Door...

70 B body drip rail molding - non vinyl top - hardtop

Thanks Mike that is prefect. Looks like the rear corner piece does fit into the longer drip rail piece. I will have to bend mine to fit. I can probably figure it out, but a pic of the clip that secures the lower windshield molding and where it attaches to the body would be nice. Looks like it...

70 B body drip rail molding - non vinyl top - hardtop

Does anybody have pics of the position of the ends of the drip moldings when they are installed? In particular the lower end of the windshield post and at the end the trim above the door where it meets the curved piece in back. Does the rail trim above the door overlap the curved piece in the...

70 B body door glass channel seal

Yes bought them about a year ago. Problem is I don't have the old ones to compare to. Never had them. I will do a mock up and see how it fits. If they weren't so expensive, I would just try one and see what happens. It sounds like you need to get it right or it can be a tight fit. Thanks.

70 B body door glass channel seal

Thank you for the replies. I got snowed under end of week and will look at this weekend. Starting to make more sense now. One thing that keeps coming up is that the new plastic guides are too tight and need to be modified. Anybody know specifically what area needs to be relived in order to keep...
