Depends on what type of repairs you want to do. I work on many different types of vehicles so if I had to pick one it would be a 2 post. My own personal preference is a 2 post for actually working on the vehicle and 4 post more for light maintenance and vehicle storage.

If you’re doing new construction I’d definitely go 12’ walls for the small amount it would cost you. Then install a bunch of 8’ LED light strips to finish it off.

I did the same-thing to my floor when I built my shop. 3’x3’x12” with lots of steel bar where hoist sits. Best money you can spend!!
