I have been pretty happy with our Milwaulee M18fuel 1/2" impact.. Sometimes It surprises me what it can do. Other times it surprises me what it can't. We first had a Dewalt, the battery went bad after a few years. It was not as powerful and it eventually vibrated apart...but that was years ago...
I would guess the elcheapo plasma would do the job. I would not have any expectation of it lasting more then a few jobs and obvious when it quits...and it will. Game over. I believe most are made cheaply with the use of invertor technology, but are pretty simple and powerful for there size...
Interesting thread...
I could never do what I wanted in a attached garage...fumes was always a problem.
My thought of doing a house and shop together...don't have any door that connects them. Harder for fumes 2 travel and a wall is a better fire barrier then a door.
