This car was at Carlisle last summer & it was absolutely beautiful.

Pete has a 55 DeSoto 'vert. Only Mopar on the property here other than my 73 Dodge Fireball class C.

“Land Yacht”, my grandfather on mom’s side always drove DeSoto’s. Never a conv in Ohio though!

My mom drove us seven kids and two cats from Ill. to Calif. in a --56 DeSoto- to meet up with dad and our new place to live.
My first car at age 14 was a 57 Desoto I bought for $50 earned money. Mine was a Firesweep but I drooled for an Adventurer.
Many great memories came from the world of cars of the fifties.

Not from me--My car is triple green and I like it as it is.--Used to have a stove and refrigerator that matched.--(avocado?)

Growing up we had the green appliances also.
They matched the 1 1/2" shag carpet but I thought they clashed with my burnt orange leisure suit (THAT MY PARENTS MADE ME WEAR!)

This is funny--When I bought my house It had baby **** green 1 1/2" shag carpet over solid maple hardwood floors. 1200sq ft. of it.
I liked fuzzy carpet as a kid but not as a home owner.
