68 gtx trunk lid alignment

can the trunk lid be aligned better 1/4 panels were replaced,im looking to buy this car if i can fix the trunk lid,

Looks like some funky bodywork is going on on the right 1/4 pnl gap about half way towards the rear deck panel. The height at the back could be adjusted. The thing to look out for is an even gap all the way around. Adjustments can be made for skew, height and sided to side, but the gaps have to be there first. Need more pictures... I look at the rt 1/4 panel bodywork and cringe a little... pretty wavy!

That finish panel can be moved around as well. If it's tilted down on the left side, it will make the alignment of the deck lid look worse than it actually is.

went and saw the car today a waste of time all body gaps doors,hood,trunk etc. all out of line,pictures can certanlly fool you, i m still shopping.

i would mine fixing the trunk, but this car had all body gaps wrong,interior wood dash was polyuretaned,owner said 1/4 were replaced profesionally,they were not,they were bondoed, doors would not close the listing said recently restored ,go figure, if anybody knows of a 68 69 70 roadrunner auto,ac car thats decently restored let me know.

What's really too bad here is the owner spent the money on all the trim, interior, exterior, glass etc and likely cost him a fortune. It's really sad when the body was not done correctly. Absolutely kills what could have been a really nice car... The paint looks decent, in fact looks to be colour sanded and polished.

Could of been a contender!
