C500 trans cooler mounting bracket?¿¿?

I'm not sure what's wrong here? Am I missing something or do I need to do some bending? It looks like it should bolt to the vertical center bracket but it's off by a few inches.

have you tried flipping the bracket ?

That would put it towards the drivers side more and be even further away.
