Help w/Reverse Lights

Hey guys. The reverse lights on my 68 do not come on. New bulbs do not fix. Is there a connection under the hood or dash that I can check?

Probably the reverse light switch on the trans(driver side)

Assuming it's a 4 speed, you are correct, but 68 automatics have the switch on the floor shifter (if so equipped) while column shift cars have the switch on top of the inside of the column close to the firewall.

The switch for my lights is on the side of the transmission itself. There's a plug with three connectors on it.
