UPS delivered my K-Frame for my 65 Dodge Coronet 500. I had sent it to Firm Feel Inc. in Vancouver Washington to have it reinforced. They hot tank them then sand blast and make sure they are straight, then they reweld the factory welds and weld the seam all the way around. Next they box and gusset the steering box mount and weld reinforcing plates where the L.C.A. pins mount. Lastly they add a skid plate and de-burr the entire K-Frame. I had them powder coat mine black and I am quite happy with the finished product. I realize if I could weld better I could have saved money and done it myself but welding isn't my thing, I like wiring and detailing much more.

One final note, Firm Feel Inc. was really good for me to deal with and the shipping package they sent was among the best I have ever received. Thanks Alan

$450 to have your K-Frame cleaned, sand blasted, welded and reinforced (includes skid plate/reinforce kit). $125 more if you have it powder coated. $55 shipping UPS but I ordered approx. 7 pounds of other parts that were included in the box.

Thanks Aldal .. would you mind take picture of where the bracing plates are welded in and basically all the seams and posting the pics up here?

I've got the FF kit and would like to show the welder what goes where and what is should look like when done as a benchmark.

Thanks!

Any idea what powder coat they used? I have some extra steel bolted on my Jeep that shows all powder coat is not created equal. Mine is rusting pretty bad. If anybody knows exactly what to ask for to get a real durable doating, I am all ears!

Thanks for sharing with us aldal, that is pretty cool and I bet it makes a difference - gives a "firm feel"

Nice
