Was there an significance to the color of cap used on factory batteries? I have seen red, green and yellow reproductions.
I always thought the yellow caps were 340 only for the 70-73. However, the build sheet on my 72 Demon 340 calls for group 24 Green Caps (not yellow).The application guide below is a listing of battery types used with most Chrysler Corporation drivetrains from 1966 - 1974.
