Rest in Peace. Legend. What a beautiful Blue Bird!

It was Pete Hamilton Who t boned Richard Brooks in the 71 Daytona.
Brooks was driving the lone aero car(Allison's 69 Daytona) with the KB 305 ci. Brooks was leading the race, but got sideways in front of Hamilton. Brooks still managed a seventh place.

They are all leaving us....may he rest in peace.

RIP Pete,There aren't a lot of people who can top Petty Enterprises, and Chrysler Corp for giving out wings, but there is ONE who has them beat. I believe he holds the record!

As one of the guys I watched race in the cars I loved in my younger days, I thank you for the enjoyment I had doing so. R.I.P.
