If it were me just get the whole printed ckt board with a solid state regulator. Not shilling but Classic has then for reasonable $$. Then you wont have to worry about loose pins and 40+ year old corrosion ect. Did mine and the gauges work perfect. My 2cents.

You should need the IVR4

I was able to put on in my 69 RR by reaching up under the dash.
I was surprised as it was much easier to get to than an A body.
RTE sells them on ebay too.
