My newly acquired parts car has a different knob on the wiper switch than all the 72-74 knobs I've seen.
Is it a one year only or has someone replaced it?
It's on there pretty good and works well.
Round and looks like the headlight switch but kind of knurled.
Not this kind-
So, apparently there are not any dimples for the screws that hold these to the floor.
I see dimples for a slap-stick bracket, but if I try to use those, the pod is WAY over to the pass side and not level.
The carpet I was installing at the same time had been cut for a shifter, so I ended up...
I had the BS out today so I took a couple pics.
Looks like I used the same bolts that secure the BS to the front bracket.
(yes, I know the bracket is supposed to be welded to the floor)
I bent some long 19" rack mount equipment "ears" right at the weak spot where there were screw holes (hey...
I was doing a little research on when seat belts became mandatory equipment.
What I came up with was "the 1968 model year", but it's not clear what exactly was mandated.
I've never owned a 68, so my point of reference is earlier-
(none of my 66 or 67 cars have had shoulder belts)
or later-...
I'm piecing together parts for a power window conversion on my RL21 fixed window satellite.
I have the rear windows, rear power regulators, front regulators and a box of switches and switch parts.
1- Do I need the factory relay or can I use a modern relay from the auto parts store?
2- I've...
Someone put holes in my pod for a CB mic mount.
There are 2 3/16" holes and 1 3/8".
The pod is hard plastic like an instrument cluster.
I was thinking of using JB Weld to fill the holes.
I've used it to reattach mounting ears on a grille, and that worked great.
My fear is that it might...
My cassette recorder pod had a CB mic holder and some sort of toggle switch bank bolted and trim taped to it.
I'm pretty sure I can use JB Weld lite to fill the holes, but when I removed the trim tape, the texture came off.
I was surprised, as I thought the plastic was textured. Apparently it...
While I have my steering column out, I'm thinking about swapping in one of my rallye clusters.
My Satellite has 60,000 original miles and I'd like the odo to reflect that.
Anyone know how to run one back or forward without destroying it or taking forever?
IIRC I've got one speedo that says...
I see repro 65-66 mustang steering wheels are $90.
They look suspiciously similar (if not identical) to 67-69 Mopar wheels.
The PG classics repro Mopar 67-69 wheel is $270.
Anyone try or have access to a mustang wheel to see if they fit?
These are the standard colored plastic wheels with...
Here's some pics of my first time covering a seat.
There really didn't seem to be any way to stretch them differently.
Some of the wrinkles are creases from where they were crammed in the shipping box.
Some are fitment.
Has anyone had these same wrinkles, and how well did they wear...
Y1 keeps sending me 30% off codes, and I'm tempted to buy seat covers for my 73 Satellite.
If they are Legendary, then I'm in, but if not, then I think I'm out, and will wait for Garlits, even though I can't locate ANY info for Legendary dealers in FL or GA.
I'd love to order them, and pick...
I need to order set covers for my Satellite.
Last time I priced them, shipping was a pretty good chunk (like 30% of the order!)
I haven't asked Dante's yet, I hear they are a bit better than direct from legendary.
Just seeing if anyone might be wiling to get my order and deliver to...
Ever since I got me Satellite with it's F8 green interior, I've been pondering two things:
1- Why does my 98% unmolested and original car have a 99% green interior and a black steering wheel. The horn button was green, but the wheel is black.
I'm relatively sure it's original.
2- I'm...
They are attractively priced, but we all know how that can go.
I understand some of their products don't have the best reputation.
At first I thought they were remarketed PUI, but they are available in colors, where PUI is not.
One thing did catch me...the description for my 73 covers...
I have a really nice 73/74 Charger dash pad...but...it has one very small crack right in the middle, beside the instument area, at the top.
I was thinking some kind of gasket sealer might do a good enough job, and sure enough, a couple of months ago someone posted the same solution and named...
