Putting pillar post door seal on 65 Belvedere sedan and not sure where to locate it on the door frame. There are 3 potential spots for the vent frame screw head to fit into. Anybody have a picture?
I've read (after the fact) that our early 60's B-Bodies engine bays are challenged for room with Big blocks......and I'm believing it.
I posted this in the Engine forum but didn't get any replies, so I figured I would post here with a better title.
Ran into a problem test fitting my Griffin...
I’m converting my 3 spd on the column to a floor shift. I removed the steering shaft and upper housing from the 3 spd column. I’m trying to assemble that to a non-3spd column/tube that I purchased.
Does the top housing attach to the column/tube? Either I’m missing some parts or the column tube...
65 Belvedere. Car did not originally have a rear sway bar. I installed a Firm Feel rear sway bar. Going to put the rear brake lines in now and the sway bar is directly in line with the rear brake hose bracket.
Who’s done this before and what did I do wrong?
Does anyone know the different finishes used and in what locations? In my faded bezel, it looks like there is chrome around the rim of each gauge window and maybe on the thin rim around the black section. Then there is a band of flat silver surrounding the inside of the gauges - and then chrome...
So this is my first rodeo so forgive any stupid questions. I’m putting a ‘69 383 into my 65 Belvedere. Original car was /6, manual steering, no AC. I want to add under dash AC and keep manual steering. So I’ll have the alternator and AC compressor to deal with.
I know the alternator is mounted...
I’m converting my 65 Belvedere, 3 on the column, bench seat to a 4 speed. I have a 69 A833 trans and the attached pic of the shifter. I’ve seen different shaped handles, etc. and not familiar with what I will need. What shifter handle do I need that will fit this shifter and won’t hit the dash...
I have these 4 screws with captive copper washers. I didn’t know they were copper until I cleaned them after they were long removed from my 65 Belvedere sedan. I didn’t note where they came from. They also have a unique split point. Anyone have any clue as to where these go?
Thanks
This may have been covered many times. I’ve searched here on several forums and not found what I’m looking for. I’ve got a 65 Belvedere sedan and have the FSM which doesn’t have this info.
Are there any reference materials that show which size bolts are used in specific locations throughout the...
'65 Outer wheelhouses have been discontinued by AMD and I can't find any out there. Looking for the lower 5-6" where the trunk extension, quarter and outer wheelhouse come together - for both sides. If anyone has a lead, it would be appreciated.
Fabricating is going to be difficult since the...
In the center rear of the trunk is the housing that surrounds the gas filler tube. There is a rubberized sealant that seals the trunk floor to this housing. It is not seam sealer. I've replaced part of my trunk floor and needed to remove it. Does anyone know what this sealer is and what should...
I've looked at a lot of posts on the '62-65 site and I've seen different answers to my question;
What is the difference between a manual and auto trans crossmember?
Some say there is no difference and some say there is. Some say the /6 and the auto are the same and the 4spd is different. Is...
65 Belvedere. I removed my upper cowl to repair some rust on the lower cowl. All along the seam between the upper and lower cowls (except the windshield seam) there was a black sealant. It had a dry, spongy consistency but you can tell it was applied like a sealant at the factory because it...
I'm missing the center emblem in my grille and I'm not sure what the correct one is.
I've got a 65 Belvedere I. It came with a 225 /6.
I've seen two different emblems on 65's- a silver/black and a red/white/blue.
Which is the correct one for this car?
Anyone making reproduction emblems or is...
I've got a 65 Belvedere 2 door Post Sedan. I've removed the front floor plan - firewall to rear footwell section. The rear footwells on both sides also need to be replaced. Motor is out and fenders are off. Doors still on. Now that I've got the floor section out, I might want to send the car off...
