70 Road Runner rally dash car. All of a sudden, the turn signals including outside bulbs, dash indicators and hood turn signals stop working. At the same time, all the dash gauges go dead. A few minutes later, everything works….then doesn’t again. I’ve obviously got a loose wire or ground. Where...
1970 Road Runner - I'd like to make my tail lights & brake lights brighter. I've been looking at some 1157 LED bulbs and searched the forums here. I saw a reference about "LED turns signals won't work". So my question....is there a LED 1157 tail/stop light bulb that can be installed in a 1970...
I don't know much about electrical stuff. I've added a ton of additional electrical equipment (2 electric fuel pumps, nitrous, bottle heater, purge valve, gauges, line lock, etc). Just about everything is wired "+ of battery to fuse to switch to electrical part to ground" and the wiring looks...
This is a cruise control (turn signal) lever plug. I need to remove the plastic connector from the wires in order to slide them down through the column for installation. How do I back out these "pins". Two are male and two are female. THANK YOU
'70 Roadrunner rally dash car. All of a sudden yesterday my gages (oil/gas/water) + turn signals stopped working. Today they worked again, then stopped working again.
I'm thinking it's maybe a ground issue or power supply issue....maybe a switch issue. Anyone have an idea where I should look...
'70 4spd car & I want to wire in the trigger(s) for both a MSD 2-step and a Hurst Roll Control (line lock). I'm having a hard time thinking this through.
1. How should I activate each?
2. How should I de-activate each?
3. Exactly which switches should I use?
4. How should I run all the wires...
Just a warning to my fellow FBBO members. I have a set of Summit Racing brand 8mm silicone suppression plug wires that are 2-3 yrs. old with maybe 500 miles on them.
I'm doing a tune up & found 2 wires' outer coating split! One wire about 6" long split and another wire maybe 10" long split...
I know cruise control didn't come on 4-speed cars from the factory. It didn't come on 440 six pack motors either, but this isn't stopping me. I've got the whole setup (for an automatic) 75% installed....but I realize that I need to have a "clutch pedal/cruise disengage switch" in addition to...
I'm running a MSD ignition box & a factory (dealer) Dixco hood tach. The tach doesn't read right & I believe I need a MSD tach adapter, but which one?
The 8920?
or the 8910?
THANK YOU!

For cruise control, where does the wiring pass through the firewall? In the one picture I've seen, it "looks" like it's going through the hole where the single gray wire is for the tick-tock tachometer (original on my car). I'm trying to retrofit cruise control.
So, does...
I've got a '70 Roadrunner 4-spd car with nitrous running a Direct Connection electronic ignition ('72-'73 style) with disconnected vacuum advance and an old MSD 6A ignition box. I have no ballast resistor and I have both the blue (run) & brown (start) ignition wires running to the red wire of...
I've got a 70 Road Runner with the rally dash & one of my dash bulb twist-sockets is bad. Where do I get another one? It seems like the last time I looked they had similar ones at the local auto parts store, but not my exact size. Any help is appreciated.
This is probably old news to everyone except me. I bought a new DC distributor last year & I finally am working on my timing & fuel curves. I bought a FBO mechanical advance limiter plate, but when I gutted my distributor, I found that this newer one has that feature already built in. Great...
I've got a 440 with headers using an old MSD-6A and MSD Blaster coil. My wires are MSD Heli-Core 8mm and I've added 2-3 Direct Connection "90-deg. angle" plug ends.... those work GREAT by the way where you have header clearance issues.
My problem is that the wires pop off the plugs on a...
