Anyone here using the matched set of 6 leaf springs from ESPO? They are rated at 140 in. lbs. spring rate, compared to the standard XHD 6/7 staggered springs that would have came stock on Hemi and 440 cars and are rated at 130 in. lbs.
This would be going in a 69 Bee 4-speed with about 600hp.
I...
Here's the deal. I want to buy a new set of stock height leaf springs as stiff as possible for my 69 Bee. Eaton lists 2 models. Standard 6/7 leafs, (which would have came on Hemi and 440 cars) at 130 in. lbs., and another option of 6/7 rated at 175 in lbs.
Been emailing Laura at ESPO Springs...
Anybody own one of those alignment tools that sell for under $200? Something like this .
Worth buying along with some turning plates, or should a guy keep going to a shop? Would really like to align my cars at home if possible.
What is your guys opinion on using washers under the castle nut of an upper ball joint so the cotter pin fits in a opening and does some good? I believe these are ProForged and they need a solid 5/16" of washers because the hole is drilled to far down.
Anybody on here admit to pulling the threads for the steering box mounts? You know, the welded on nuts, one being inaccessible. And if so, what is the best way to repair? Got only myself to blame for this one.....
8 3/4 rear ends have this welded clamp on the right side of the axle to secure the e- brake cable. Was under my Bee that has a Strange 60 and noticed that that clamp is missing and the cable has wore some paint off the frame from not being secured in this area. Did original Dana's have this...
Local shop got a new machine that measures this. One of my cars has a positive .25. I have to shim the drivers side from what I gather. Hotchkis makes a shim kit with six 1/32" plates. It is expensive for what you get, and I think I would need all of them to get close. I am leaning to just...
I have not seen any yet, but have heard that all Moog parts are now made in China and guys are seeing quality issues.
Going to replace all the poly suspension parts that I installed 15 years ago in my Road Runner with rubber. As well as upgrade the tie rod ends to the bigger 11/16".
Anybody do...
I was in need of a pitman arm for my 69 Bee. Wanted to order a 16:1 manual steering box from PST for my Duster also, so I looked at their arms. The picture on their site looked like it had quite a bend in it compared to my original. So I pm'd James to see if he could tell me anything...
Anybody know the exact length of a 1969 manual steering shaft, or where this info could be found? Bought a floor shift manual steering column from a member here. Took it apart to restore and realized it has been pushed in and the plastic is missing.
Picked up a 1969 Super Bee with an auto on the column and power steering. I want to convert to a floor shift 4-speed manual steering setup. What is the best/easiest solution for this swap?
Going to replace the 10 year old Mopar XHD leaf spring on my 69 RR. Sent Laura a email for pricing and this is a part of her response.
"The ones Mopar considers XHD are the 6/7 where the last leaf on left is half leaf and last two leaves on right are half leaves. The are $250 for the pair...
I am going to rebuild the front suspension on my 69 RR. Noticed on PST's site that an option is to use C body tie rods with the bigger shaft and would then go with solid adjuster as well. Anybody done this upgrade? Is it worth it?

Any of you guys try these steering gears in your cars? I wanted to try a 20:1 box from Firm Feel, but after talking to them and finding out I would have $605. in getting mine rebuilt including me...
I see PST is selling a rear sway bar that will fit a 69 Charger. I have new HD springs on my car, but am not satisfied with the roll and softness. This seems odd to me because 5 years ago I put the exact same springs on my 69 Road Runner and am very happy with them. I am not really interested...
Tonight I playing around with the height of the front end on my Charger. I was attempting to raise the drivers side another 1/4" to equal the passenger side and all of a sudden KABOOM. The threads totally stripped out of the block. Luckily nothing on myself or the car was damaged. These were...
Looking for some advice from any of you brake experts. I bought a hardware kit for my Dana 60 rear 11x2.5" rear drums. 3 questions: 1st - Does the parking brake cable ball end just sit in the slot, or is there supposed to be some kind of clip holding it secure? 2nd - The kit came with the...
