I asked this question in another thread but maybe someone will have the answer here. My tires are constantly going flat on my Mirada Wheels and Ive traced it to the poor fitting rubber valve stems. I seem to remember having to use metal stems on these aluminum factory wheels way back in the day...
Don't know if it is ok to ask this question here but as those of us following this thread are specific to the 79 300 maybe someone has the answer. My tires on Mirada Wheels are constantly going flat and I have traced it to the poor fit of the rubber valve stems. Is anyone using metal valve stems...
I am on the hunt for replacement dual mufflers on mine at the moment. I have flow through mufflers at the moment and they are too loud for my wife to be able to sit in the car due to a nerve injury. What is everyone using for a performance sound but quieter at idle and no drone on the highway?

Good call on the plastic lens interfering DeltaV ill pull the dash apart and confirm that. Unfortunately the FSM was no help on this topic. Now just need to work on getting the fuel guage to read correct and stop the speedo from bouncing all over…. Troubles never cease
At least the wheels...
The A74 package was available to the Canadian market with a Power seat option as we didn't have the catalytic requirement as evidenced by my 79 300 A74 with Power seat and sunroof with the E58 engine and dual exhaust. The question is how many were produced for the Canadian market?
I am afraid not but very little excapes this group when it comes to 79 300's. @DeltaV catches most everything that comes up on the web so if it has ever been posted somewhere we likely have discussed it.
