Need a new welding helmet - what`s decent?

I have had 5 or 6 over the last 30+ Years. All the cheapie type. Never any issues with comfort or usage. I did have one that when I flipped up after running a bead that fell off the back of my head and landed on the ground. After I picked it up and put it back on to run another bead I noticed...

    Ron Mancini has passed on...

R.I.P. My buddy has Ron's original lime green 70 six pack V code Cuda drag car that was converted to look like a 71, then a 72/73/74 in the Super Stock/Pro Stock days and still has the yellow with orange stripes paint scheme today.

    Let's see your shop refrigerator

My freezer portion is for freezing the nitrous bottles when refilling them. The fridge usually has water, pop, beer of whatever choosing someone may bring over. Oh, it is the old 70's (1970 model, to match the cars) gold item to the left of the tool boxes covered in racing decals.

So mid to late 70,s 440 blocks are actually better than the earlier 440,s?

They are all just used cores until sonic checked. Once sonic checked good. Then it's a good builder. I have seen many blocks go totally against everyone's so called theories and/or rumors of what is better or not.

Summit Racing brand Gas Ported Piston Rings?

That's nothing. We pay over $2000 for a set of rings for some of our high dollar high horsepower builds.

    Is this a real Car?

Advance Auto Parts Closing 500 Stores

I live dead center within a square mile of main roads. I can walk either way a half mile to an auto parts store at the end of my neighborhood. Going north, I have an Auto Zone, O'Reilly, and Pep Boys. Going south, I have a Advanced and a Napa. I almost never use any of them except for basics...

    Gen ll Hemi scattershield

I have had good luck with both Lakewood and Quicktime on Mopars. However, on buddies Fords and Chevrolets, we did have to oval out holes and do machining at times to make them fit to center up correctly.
