66-67 hard tops and convertibles take the same windshield as 68-70 convertibles. I know the 68-70 post. cars are not true sedans.

According to my parts books, a 1967 B body four door sedan has the same windsheild as a 1969 four door sedan. I don't have a 68 or 70 parts book but they would be the same I would think. 69 two door sedans use the same windshield as 69 two door hardtops.

I didn't mean to imply the VIN is on the rad support, as it isn't, but in 1968 the first letter of the VIN is, followed by the SO number.

Your body stamping is upside down and hard to read. If it is G8W then the assembly plant is St. Louis. The 8 is model year and the W is the first letter in the VIN.

The 4 speed was available in 1972 RR- GTXs. Not enough coffee.

The GTX as a separate model ended in 1971. From 72-74 the GTX was an option on the RR which included a 440 with automatic only, and GTX emblems.

They made approximately 386 RR-GTXs in 1974.

A 69 charger would not have a different coupler than any other 69 B body. If the 3.5" one fits then shortening it would be a waste of time. Use the spring clip if you can't get the tabs to hold the cover on.

The gran coupe was a separate model BP. The 440 and hemi were only available on the Cuda BS. The gran coupe interior stuff was optional on the Cuda but that did not make it a gran coupe.

Fully charge your battery, and then disconnect a battery cable. If it is dead after a week or so, then it is pooched. If it is still charged at 12.5 ish volts then you have a draw in your electrical system.

The one with two holes is for a 1965 down trans. A 1970 would take the one with the single hole.

Food for thought. Reproduction sending units are notoriously inaccurate, so you might want to repair the one you have.

The tank was designed with two vents from the factory. Plumbing it the way yours is ,is removing one of them. The fuel return line will not pressurize the tank no matter where it is located.

The base circle has everything to do with lift. That is where the extra lift comes from. The lobes can't be made much taller because the cam would not be able to be installed.

I wonder why anyone would do that? I would drain the tank down, remove the sending unit and try to fix it.

Cars with return lines had the line connect to a nipple on the sending unit, not one or the tank vents. Hook it up properly, make sure the vent lines are clear, use a non vented cap, and try again.
