This is the only thing, I did tighten them, I just had him recheck them when I had him look at the chrome. I’ve done everything on the car. This was just something I hadn’t done, since the 1980’s. He had made me second guess myself. I looked on here and surprised it wasn’t brought up...

I went to the chrome shop, and had him tighten the brackets. He warned me, not to overdo it, or they’ll dimple the bumper.

I had my bumpers and guards rechromed. What should the chrome bolts be tightened to? 5lbs? Also the bumper guards to bumper? Lastly the bumper mounts to rear of car, and bumper guards to lower mount. Also would the fronts also be the same. I can’t find the information anywhere. Thank You

How tight are the chrome bolts? Also the bumper guards to bumper? Any rubber bumpers used in the center holes?

Not easy to find. Lucky mine has one, just need to regalvanise it.

Anything needed on these, just a clean dry surface? Or seal them to the valve covers? I have the steel covers.
