I took the pins and beveled the underneath side to help avoid scratches on the bezels. Flapper wheel then scotchbrite wheel.

The oil slinger was installed correctly. That is what happens to a lot of them w certain double row timing chains, not from a grinder. Leaves lots of metal in oil obviously. I removed my slinger as it doesn't make any difference.

That is the correct attitude for these parts. I don't think they were ever accurate - flukey if they were given the technology of the day. :thumbsup:

You can buy new gauges from Vans... not sure how reliable they are... Fuel Gauge Rallye Dash-Mopar 1968 - 1970 B-Body I had a voltmeter conversion done by Redline a few years ago, and although expensive, it was decent enough.
