The first fatal plane crash occurred on September 17, 1908, and it involved the Wright brothers. A Wright Flyer crashed during a military demonstration flight at Fort Myer, Virginia. The right propeller of the plane came in contact with a guy wire, causing the plane to crash from an altitude of...
I have heard conflicting opinions on the re-buildability of the CONE differentials.
For the most part, the ones that are against it are Rick Ehrenberg and people repeating the opinion of Rick Ehrenberg.
I like the guy's work and trust most of what he has written but this is one of the few things...
I don't think that this is right.
The LA series engines used the same flex plate for the 318 as the 360 from everything that I have seen and dealt with, The balance factor is done either internally or through the harmonic balancer and a weight added to the converter. I don't see how that affects...
There is a guy that used to post at Moparts from Illinois...."Mopar Mitch".
Smart guy, he loved to race his Challenger. He was a big proponent of big torsion bars and ran a 1.22 size in his car.
If this is true, it is interesting.....

It has been said that had they hit it dead straight, they may have only breached 1 or 2 compartments and stayed afloat. As it happened, turning and grazing the edge of the iceberg caused several compartments to be compromised.
I had this same spec cam in my first 440 in the red car. It would spin the peg leg single tire all the way to where I got tired of peeling out and just let off the gas and let the tire hook up. With a 3.91 SG in it, it ran a 14.01 at 101 with a crappy 2.40 60 ft time. Zero traction but once it...
Once I'm up to speed, it picks up nicely. It was first put on the road with a 3.23 and ugh...it felt way too slow. I have a 3.91 in it now and while it is better, it still lacks the snap of the Dart or other Charger.
I have another factory "Hi-Stall" that I got some time ago. I had it gone...
No, it is an 11” that was built by Lenny at UCC for approximately 2800 stall but that was behind the 440/493. I used the trans and converter from the red car when I swapped a 5 speed in it.
Maybe it does stall too low for a 383. Good point.
I was unaware of the costs to do a 3G Hemi swap until a few days ago. It was like the guy that looks outside, sees that it is sunny and steps out for a moment not knowing how damned hot it is.....then turns around and goes back inside.
