68 B Body Bucket Seat Headrests

I have bought 3 seats of reproduction headrests now. I thought they all looked and fit fine. It's been awhile, but I think they all came from Year One.

    The Roach

Yeah, the crappy ones had the goo as well. Hopefully they got the issues sorted out with the repops by now, but like Wayne stated, test fit your trim before caulking in the windshield.

    The Roach

That, and the screw heads were to tall preventing the trim to snap on. I always find NOS clips and screws, a lot less drama.

You are going to retard the ignition timing to drop the idle speed?

    1970 Dark Burnt Orange Metallic?

I really like FK5 if that is the color you are asking about. I painted a Duster in that color with Dupont several years ago. I would say it is more brown than orange. My buddy painted a Road Runner in the same paint code with PPG Deltron. The PPG was a far more vibrant orangish tone than my...

What's it Worth 69 Roadrunner - project car

But KD had a solid car to start with, so welding his front clip to solid metal was no big deal. This one will no doubt have rust, rust, and more rust.

    How to get key replacement?

I have a real good local locksmith that has done that for me. It didn't take her long either. And she just hates the new reproduction locks and cylinders, says they are cheap garbage.

Cracked or broken plastic pieces or parts?

I've been using that Q-Bond for years, it really does work quite well.

    Rear end lubricant

You don't need friction modifier if it is a one wheel peel.

    Rear end lubricant

Cass aka Dr.Diff recommends SuperTech gear oil from Wally World along with a bottle of Ford friction modifier. That has always worked for me.

Are you ready for a real weird one? Random NO spark from a MP electronic ignition system despite numerous parts swapped around...

Sure sounds like either a bad/compromised wire terminal end or crimp connection. I had a 1 year old M&H harness with 2 loose wire crimps. They looked fine, but weren't. Intermittent issues just like you are having and was a bugger to find them.

    My 1970 Super Bee 383 A31 car

80 pounds cold is not an issue. Like stated above, you need to check it with a good mechanical gauge to verify what you actually have. After the motor is hot is the number you should be looking at. In your pump, a red spring will be standard pressure, about 50 psi. A black spring will be high...

    Metal flashing question

You should never cover etch primer with epoxy. Maybe just spray epoxy on the amount of metal you can clean each day?

    Looking For Part Sources

I try to buy as much as possible from Mega Parts. Good guys, good prices, and they stand behind what they sell.

Firmfeel upper control arms worth the difference?

While I really like Firm Feels products, the wait times to get your order is atrocious. And to top it off, he charges your credit card the day you order, instead of 8 months later when the parts arrive. Just something to be aware of.

    Rear end clunking

Yeah, I believe that @Cranky mentioned that he had revived a few cone style units in the past.
