I've always heard aluminum and iron 440 six pack intakes are the same except for the metal. You can buy paper gaskets for the intakes (69 I think) that "sandwich" the valley pan. I've never been able to fit the paper gaskets on my iron intake which makes me wonder.....are the aluminum ones...
Looking at my outboard carbs, I see that the two sets of throttle plates don't match. The rear carb has thicker aluminum #220 throttle plates in it (one's from '69 that are supposed to stick sometimes) and the front carb has #180 thin, steel throttle plates with some type of washer/shim on the...
I've seen a lot of Holley metering blocks that have the carburetor list number stamped on the metering body to. My metering block is stamped "6020". Is that the correct metering block for a 4375 '70 4spd center carb? If not, what carb is it for? Thanks!

I've got 4375 center & 4382/4383 outboard carbs. The Holley 37-396 kits have several body/base gaskets. Which ones are correct? A picture of all the correct gaskets would be very useful so I don't screw this up. I've had a bunch of carb issues and I don't want to make a mistake. Thanks...
What is the stock idle feed restriction size for 4382 & 4383 '70 outboard carburetors? I'm rebuilding the carbs right now & putting in Quick Fuel metering plates. The paperwork says the screw in idle feed restrictions that the plates come with are .039", but that I can change them. I'd like...
I'm trying to un-modify my six-pack carbs and put them back stock. They're 70 4spd carbs 4382/4375/4383.
1. What is the stock accelerator pump cam? white?
2. What position did the accelerator pump cam screw come in? Anyone have a pic?
3. What is the original squirter? 31?
4. Original outboard...
I've got a '70 4spd six pack setup with front carb #4382. It's been running "pig rich" and the carbs have been modified, so I'm trying to put them back to stock and work from there.
This particular carb (#4382) calls for a 34R-6153-34 metering plate. I can't seem to find this metering plate...
Does anyone know for sure which hole on top of a six pack center carb (#4375) is the one you drill out to install a Holley #125-500 "Power Valve Check Ball Kit"? I'm going to rebuild my carbs in the next week or two and I thought I might go ahead and do this upgrade while I'm at it. Thanks!
Where do I find a Holley metering block for a '70 4spd center carb? What about a '71 auto center carb? Are they the same?
May be a dumb question, but are these metering blocks the same as a 4bbl? If not, what are the differences if anyone knows.
On Chicago Carburetor's site, I see the...
I've been trying to work through a rich idle situation with my 440+6 and I'm thinking about swapping out the center carb. My car is a '70 4-speed car and I have '70 4-speed 440 carburetors on it.
I have another set of '71 automatic 440 carbs. What is the difference between a '70 4spd center...
440-6 w/10.5 comp. & moderate cam & about 10-11" vacuum.
My six pack has been running pig-rich (can smell the fuel out of the exhaust) & I have been "de-tuning" the carburetors back closer to stock. The only non-stock carb parts I have now are a 3.5 power valve, the power valve holes in the...
Hey Everyone, Since I put the six pack back on my Road Runner I went ahead and put the nitrous system b1ack on. It's THE LAST six pack Cheater system built by Nitrous Oxide Systems. Enjoy!
My six pack setup is really dumping fuel in the motor and giving the rings a good washing. At idle I get a ton of smoke out of the tail pipes and after about 20 min. at idle I had an extra quart (of gas) in my oil pan. What's wrong?
I just rebuilt the carbs....
-drilled metering block...
