    68 Charger grill installation question

    I am finishing up the grill restoration and I have the metal frame completed. Is it going to be easier to install the metal frame first and then install the plastic grill/headlight doors last, or should I plan on installing it as a complete assembly?

    The sequel -this is what these brackets are for.

    I finally found a reference pic of the mystery brackets. Back when I started on the restoration, I disassembled the exhaust hangers to be blasted. I ended up going with the Accurate Exhaust system which included the hangers. These brackets were hanging up in my garage. Mystery solved!

    Power steering gearbox seal

    I resealed my ps gearbox on my 68 Charger. The one seal I missed is the oring seal underneath the locknut for the adjustment screw. After startup and running for a short while it started seeping oil out.I pulled the old seal out and it was cracked and hardened from age. Not having the correct...

    Project windshield and rear glass done!!

    I installed the new rear glass and windshield this morning. The rear glass was a piece of cake but those upper corners on the windshield - well that's another story. Had my neighbor to help on both and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

    Found this piece of history in my Charger

    Found this tag behind the driver seat back when I disassembled the seat to restore it. They were cutting it close. The build date is 06/05/1968.
