my first Mopar, bought it last fall. 56k original miles. Alabama car. 318 poly, auto, a/c, p/s, p/b. Started replacing all the rubber, brakes and lines. Trying to make it my weekend driver.
Awesome looking car. Very stunning. I love that you have the original window sticker and certi-card. Interesting you have the bumper guards, I've never seen one with them at a show. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING THE POLY. Also I'm sorry to say but, you might want to clean under the hood a little.
I agree with everyone, you have a beautiful car! I like the fact you plan to drive the convertible on the weekends. That will be fun with the top down!
80+% of the braking load on all vehicles is forced onto the front axle. Replacing the spooky 'stab & steer' front drum brakes with a disc brake kit will change the way you drive your Plymouth in today's traffic. The non-exotic systems are very effective, reasonably priced, will increase your driving pleasure and will be the biggest bang for your buck for safe, confident braking and handling.
Thanks for the kind words. It looks better in pictures than in person. Someone repainted it and did a horrible job with runs, craters, and painting over the dents... The other day the top made a horrible pop, someone rigged one of the lift cylinders with a hose clamps. I bought another and just have to install. That same week the heater cable snapped. I have been focused on replacing all the rubber, all of it is shot (bushings, hoses, brake lines). Working through all the issues, it seems like every time I take it out, 3 more things to fix!!! It will be slow process but will stick with it. Hopefully it will represent the brand with pride some day.
Sorry about using the name Carnut, Car Nut!! I didn't realize someone else had it. Its my same user name from the H.A.M.B.
