68 and 69 works in progress for way too long!

69 Plymouth Satellite and 68 Charger

About this Mopar:

Both are projects. The Plymouth was running well 20 years ago. It sat for 5 years and after getting it running again, I blew the head gasket. The 318 has been sitting on the pallet covered since then. The Charger is a total project that was gone through by the previous owner (body work and paint). It's just a roller, but I do have a 440 that was rebuilt 20 years ago, but never installed. It turns easily and both cars have been in Arizona so humidity is low.
With being busy with life (spent 5 years completely remodeling and rebuilding our home) then had two children now 1 yr and 3 yrs old, these cars have been put aside. We recently relocated to CA and now these cars are getting put back together!!!
Im currently looking to replace the 318 with a 440 and 727 and 8 3/4. Both cars are going to be drivers and not show. It's been a challenge finding another motor that is worthy and that doesn't need to be completely torn apart.
I'm posting this to share more photos as my projects move forward. I know I will need some help and advice from all of you experienced Mopar owners for those who want to help!!

Things in life do take over the project's we want to get too. These car's do take a lot of time with only one person working on them. Look's like you have made some progress and sure you will get those project's done. Keep us up on the build's love pic's.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Let me get this straight-someone actually moved to California from somewhere else? Its normally the other way around! Seriously though I will be looking forward to watching your progress! :popcorn2:

My 68 Charger is originally a 383 and i'm looking for a motor. Anyone have any suggestions? I've debated and searched and searched for a motor/trans...Or should I just put a 440 in it? Either way I need a motor unless I want to rebuild the 318 for my Satellite and drop the 440 in the charger. I'm a rookie at this and not a mechanic, but I'm willing to try.

My wife was recruited for a job and after being stationed at Vandenberg AFB and visiting the area for 4 years, I agreed to move for her. She has a 2 year contract so hopefully Newsome will get replaced with someone who actually will try to reverse all the insanity and damage the lib-cards have done to CA!! If it gets worse, we will consider TX or FL or maybe somewhere like Nebraska to raise our kiddos?? We do have the best weather in the world though!!
