I have a standard AM radio at the moment, mounted in the dash.

I would like to fit an after market retro style radio which has FM and aux inputs.

What options do I have?

There seem to be a lot of options for later B body cars, but not so much the earlier cars like mine.

Thanks

At least one if not two companies make radios that have separate "modules" that house the knobs, so you can position them wherever your factory holes are, in relation to the main body of the head unit.

Your specific difficulty may be the size of the center opening versus the size of the aftermarket main body.

In my 67 wagon, I'm planning to use a repro blank, and just hang my favorite aftermarket unit- Pioneer 4400, underneath.

I had Gary Tayman, http://taymanelectrical.com/ do the conversion on mine. Couldn't be happier. Radio looks factory stock, but tunes AM/FM and I have the Aux. wire coming in the glove box...ready for phone, I-pod, MP3, etc.

I was at a car show and saw a guy had his factory radio in place but he pulled open his cigarette tray and there was a control panel for his radio and aux hook up. Clean and out of the way in a place that doesn't get used anyway.
