Hello. I've been working on a 1966 Coronet, and my brother in law just found a 1966 Sattelite that is the same color. How cool is that? The Sattelite needs a lot more in the way of body work including a floor pan and quarter patches.

I read on this forum that both Auto Body Specilties and Sherman make quarter patches and floor sections. Anyone have personal experience with either? I see that ABS 1/2 quarter says "not for show cars" and Sherman's doesn't. ABS offers a full floor, though. Anyone done that? Seems like a lot easier weld, but maybe a pain to get into the car.

My Coronet is a 440 model with a 383 (G) and factory a/c.
My brother's Sattelite is a 361 car (F) also with factory a/c.
Both are YY1 medium bronze poly.

Thanks for any help.

I bought a set of quarters for a 67 Charger that stated "not for show". I haven't put them on yet because I'm debating if I want to go through all the modifying my new panels to make them work. The ones I bought don't have the 'vent" indentions on the side. They also have a little different wheel well shape. Overall I wouldn't reccomend them. If I remember ( and it's been about 12 months so I might be wrong) ABS doesn't handle the Charger quarters anymore because of negative customer feedback.

Check with auto metal direct. They are making those panels, I just don't know when they will be available. From the things I've seen from amd, they will be much better than what is available now.

I dealt with Sherman and As. about 15 years ago.
I purchased their lower quarters for the '66-67 Plymouth B-body.
They did not run all the way to the bumper nor to the front doors.
They look good, but definitley not show.
Floorboards I purchased from Year 1, nice fit I thought.

Thanks for the replies, and keep them coming if new info comes up.

Any updates on the AMD 1/2 quarters?

We pulled the seats and console last night and it looks like the pass side is a lot better than the drivers.

I think we will look for a donor car for a little while and if we can't score one or if the cut is too difficult (along the rocker), then we'll go with the AMD part for the drivers side front and back.

That gives us until Don Garlits to look for a donor, so we can save shipping by buying at the show.

Was there a consensus on whether a 4 door pan is the same?

There have been 3 through our LKQ in the past couple of months.
2 of them 68 Sats, one a wagon, both green.
