You are buying a 1967 Plymouth GTX 440 Super Commando, Console Automatic Transmission, Black Bucket Seat Interior, Turbine Bronze Paint Color, 3.23 Sure Grip 8 3/4 Rear End, Original Fender Tag, No Build Sheet.
This is a great project car and is a SUPER SOLID Arkansas car that was brought down from Alaska about 30 years ago. There is no rust issues to speak of and the frame rails and sub structure are perfectly solid and even have the factory undercoating in most places. The floors and trunk floor look great with only a couple very small places needing attention. The doors, fenders, roof section, trunk lid are all very solid. The original quarters had some old bodywork that was very poorly done so the previous owner had them replaced with 2 full factory quarters from a parts car. These quarters have been installed at the factory attaching points and very straight needing just regular body work to finish off.
The engine is a factory warranty replacement long block that was installed in the car when it was only a year or so old and has a casting date of mid 1967. You can also see where the metal warranty tag was attached to the passenger side freeze plug area. The rest of the engine components (exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, chrome valve covers, air cleaner, 915 HP big valve heads, linkages, pulleys, etc) are all the original parts to this car. The carb is an Edelbrock replacement and an electronic ignition system was installed years ago. The engine is all standard internally and was rebuilt with new rings and bearings several years ago. The heads were also rebuilt as well. The engine was painted orange as the previous owner liked it better than the factory turquoise. The engine runs great and I would just clean and repaint is in the correct color.
The numbers correct original radiator was pulled and rebuilt a couple years ago and is in excellent condition.
The transmission is the numbers original unit to this car and was rebuild when the engine was gone through. The drivetrain has only a couple thousand miles since it was gone through.
The power disc brakes were all rebuilt along with the front end a few years ago and new front lines and hoses were installed then.
The forward lamp harness is a new year one unit that was installed recently.
All 4 of the original chrome road wheels are still with the car and look great. The center caps are NOS parts that were installed a couple years ago.
The seats and interior trim were removed along with the side glass as the previous owner was going to have the car painted when the quarters were installed but the project stalled and the car has sat since.
I have all the removed trim, original bucket seats, rear seat and upper trim piece, wheel well trims, rocker trims, as well as many small items.
The correct original 150 MPH gauge cluster was rebuilt a couple years ago and everything works fine and looks great.
I have a LOT of NEW PARTS that go with the car such as: rear window gasket, front door panels, package tray, front and rear seat covers, headliner, carpet kit, show rechromed bumpers (over 1,400 cost) tail light bezels, NOS exhaust tips, NORS mufflers with NOS tail pipes and the NOS H Pipe is on the car. The gas tank is BRAND NEW and has never even had gas in it yet.
I have a CLEAR ARKANSAS TITLE and the car is even currently tagged.
The price is 14,500 and I can possibly help with delivery depending on where you live.
