Hello all.

My name is Josh and I’m an English person currently living in France. That in itself is banal however before moving back to Europe, I lived in New Hampshire for many years where I fell in love with three things; Americans, American Beer and American Muscle Cars ‍♂️
That being said, I am weeks away from closing a ‘68 Dart.
The only problem is, it’s a slant 6 and that just ain’t gonna cut it. What’s the best, cheapest path to V8 Torque monster glory bearing in mind that we don’t have modern Dodge products this side of the pond?

Thanks a million for having me.
JB

:welcome: & :thankyou: for joining us. You will find lots of torque monster info on this site! We need to see pix when you get it!

Welcome from North Florida. Send pic's when you get it.
I mean a nice big block would get you all the torque monster power you want but a 340 / 360 would be an easier fit.
Your going to have to upgrade the drive train regardless.

I agree with Sleeper Bee. A stroked 360 will give you all the torque you need in a Dart. Plus you'll actually have room in the engine compartment to change the plugs.

Welcome from Alabama, great purchase in a 68 Dart. 67's-69's are an iconic body style.

Welcome to FBBO
good luck with the acquisition of the 68 Dart

albeit we love MoPars of all types here,
lots of owners of many styles & classifications
a 1968 Dart is an A-Body platform
This is a B-Body specific site, many here also do own/love A-bodies too
no harm no foul

you may also want to try our sister site, owned by the same guy
http://www.forAbodiesonly.com
A-Body platform specific, FABO

maybe also go to the welcome wagon & post an Intro
maybe some photos & a lil' background or personal back story etc.
we do love photos/Car **** here
we love a good story too

No problemo sir. I’m happy to learn whenever possible. I’ll certainly check out those sites

Thanks for the welcome and info one and all.

Where is tue best place to scavenge a 360 and parts? I’ve worked on LS engines (Vortec) but never Mopar blocks.
Cheers

69 Dart per your pictures posted. 67-69 are basically the same car.

Welcome from Indiana, USA! Great looking 69 Dart. To change to a V8 you’ll need a V8 K member, a transmission compatible to the engine and more than likely a stronger rear axle. Don’t forget to upgrade your brakes also. Good luck.

Welcome from Missouri!! I had two darts. 67 GT and 69 340. Loved them both, miss them both.

A 360 is going to give you a good bang for the buck. Also check out For A bodies only, there will be lots of info on A body Darts on there as well. I should add that there are some guys playing around with 225 /6 getting them to run surprisingly quick.
