1968 Plymouth GTX

3-4 months is great. I took a 70 Camaro rear bumper to Royal Plating in Tucson. It took them a year and cost me $400. Nu-Chrome used to do good work, but they burned down.

I had similar issues with Royal when I gave Capital a try. Jim is using them on my recommendation, Ed had better do a bang up job.

I've got a 66 Cutlass rear bumper that needs straightened and replated. I'll take it to Capital. Thanks for the tip.

These are costing me twice that amount each, and that's after negotiating the price down.

Thanks for the warning. I don't have much choice. Nobody reproduces 66 Cutlass bumpers, so I have to use what I have. The front bumper was missing, and I paid $2K for one. I was lucky to find it.

Yes, I did a '65 Buick Special convertible for a guy and there weren't many reproduction parts specific to that car.

Got a new windshield and rear window installed today.

Got notice that my bumpers are done. Sent payment out on Friday and hope to have them in a couple of weeks.
I'll post pictures once they arrive.

Got the bumpers back.
Needed to order new bumper bolts as the old ones were toast and some were missing.

I did test fit the front bumper but it's not tightened or in perfect position. This bumper was bent and it looks like they got it nice and straight. The bumper is much more shiny than it appears in this picture.

Bumper bolt kit arrived today, so I did get the front bumper installed.

Hope to get the rear bumper installed tomorrow if time permits.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a fastener kit for the metal shield that fastens to the bottom of the front bumper?
Even a picture would help steer me in the right direction. Thanks.

Believe I got mine from Partsmix back when. Megaparts or 521restoration should have as well.
