440 Six Pack Dist Cap

I'm Out of my comfort Zone here with a 70 B Bod, so I'm reaching out to determine the correct Distributor Cap Color For 1970 Road Runner 440 +6 , Dual point Torque Flite . Do not have a Build date at this time, if it is needed for the correct answer. Thank You In Advance. Thunder

I was told by a guy that I believe knows what he is talking about and he told me that black was the color till electronic dist and they were tan.

black was the color in '65 and maybe '66. pretty sure tan after that. my '68 RR was tan.

The cap for a Prestolite dual point distributor is a tan color (alkyd resin) with brass terminals. The inside center contact is a spring loaded graphite button type. And is absolutely different than a single point distributor cap. Questions....pm me....
