440 Stealth Heads vs Eddy E-Street

Do you have headers already for your stock heads? Do you want to paint the heads and have them look stock? If so I would go stealths.

Are any of you running the Edelbrock E-Street 5090 without adjustable rockers? Will they work with low buck Hedman headers?

Yeah I currently am, but I'm about to change over to the adjustable docile Iron rockers over the next couple of weeks.

in regards to the headers, not sure, but they don't clear the hookers I originally had. Went to doug's d52's instead.

I do have Hedmans. I will not paint unless the aluminum starts flaking and looking bad.

The cost of adjustable rockers and possibly a new set of headers really ups the ante for me if I go with E-Streets.

You don't to run adjustable rockers on the aluminum heads.

Stock rockers will work just fine.

How long have you been running the E-Streets?

I don't have those. Stock shafts and rockers, fit and function just fine. Eddy may recommend adjustable's, but not necessary for a decent engine on the street.

That's good to know. If I can get by without needing new headers I would like to own a set of E-Streets.

Didn't run adjustable originally, worked fine (performer RPM heads). Try and find a set of Isky/Crane iron adjustables if you want something that's literally bomb proof for less than $300, I paid $250 a few years back for a NOS set. If you enjoy spending money, Harland Sharps are the best on the market :D JMHO.

Honestly, I had better header clearance with the angled spark plugs. Here's the headers I'm running, they're inexpensive but work;

What head gaskets are you using with your Edelbrock E-Street 5090 heads? I want the thinnest that is usable with these heads. Most say do not use steel shim gaskets.
