I'm doing a grille for member samedaze and if it's cool with him, I'll post pics of the "transformation". Basically it is just a sand/polish/paint job, but I've found some deep gouges, scrapes, boogered up drivers side headlight cover and the bottom mounting tab is just hanging on by a thread. I managed to fix the drivers side with some heat and some "NEW WORDS" then filled in the deep scrapes that I couldn't get to sand out. The main part of the grille has a few vertical bars that need straightening, but overall it was a pretty good driver quality grille. I'm not doing a SS conversion, I would need the car here for measurements, so I'm just gonna spiff it up a bit.

Got the drivers side headlight surround 90% done and will post pics of it and the "factory finish" pass. side for comparison. Member samedaze gave his blessing to post pics, so I'll get them up tomorrow.

Camera batteries were dead and I ended up re-doing the headlight surround. The paint was good until I tried to get some of it off the bars and just went down hill real fast.

The grille was sent out thursday, so we'll have to wait for samedaze to get and hopefully he will post his thoughts on the grille, maybe a pic or two also.

Do you restore as a business or just doing that as a one off?

I do the grilles to help pass the time since I'm on disability and it gives me a break from from my 2 hoodlums, lol!! I dont have a business, this is something to help out us poor struggling mopar guys, we spend alot of money on our cars cause mopars are just more expensive, so if I can save somebody a few bucks, then we all win.

Ok, thanks... depending on what I do with my car I might contact you later to maybe do mine if interested.

When your ready, just let me know. I like doing the grilles as each one presents it's own challenges......plus I get away from the rugrats for awhile which is priceless, lol!!!!

Doing a grille for member jim496, and I've got pics....finally got batteries for the camera, lol!!!

Thanks for the compliment.

I will have to get ahold of you this fall. That looks BAD A$$! I have a SS grill so I will have to see what the best way to ship it.

Put it in a box, insure it for 1000 bucks (not kidding) and let it fly. The insurance is like 40 cents per 100 dollar declared value and the first hundred is automactically covered.

I have'nt paid him yet.... Throw'in around some big bucks there.... Would'nt look as good with a single....LOL

I built a shipping/storage box out of some left over luan underlayment. Was able to size it exactly for my '65 SS grille and headlight buckets. That way it remains safe, and, it's ready to go to the first purchaser, or, to move with me later this year (whichever comes first).

would you be interested in doing my 65 Dodge Coronet grille? Looks fantastic! How much? Thanks!

Just sent you a pm.
