Greetings from beautiful New Jersey, home of the toll booth. I am new to the board and to forums, though not at all new to MOPARS. I have a 1968 GTX that was a complete basket case. I bought the car 10 years ago on ebay from roanoake va. I did about 90% of the car myself in my driveway. It needed all the frame rails and everything else. The only original part left of the car is the dash and the roof. I never restored a car before but have played with many engines in the past. I started out trying to make this a show car, but soon realized that I didn't have the talent to do that. So, I put the car together the best I could, and off to the cruise nights and shows I went. After a couple years of that, I realized that that really wasnt my thing. So, I decided to go to the track. I found my home. First couple of times, I was tentative. 14.02 @98mph. Next time got me to 13.5. Just kept tweeking away. My best time to date is [email protected]. Same motor, different attitude. This is a stock suspension, bald street tire car. I plan on adding a pinion snubber, torque converter and slicks to it this year and see what happens. My previous cars were 1973 340 4spd duster, 1969 hemi roadrunner, 1982 dodge challenger(not a mistake), 1985 dodge ramcharger, 1982 dodge daytona, 1989 chrysler lebaron convertible, you get the idea. All Mopar. Oh yeah, you'll get your pictures.

Hello to all,

I uploaded about 10 pics yesterday for everyone to see, and POOF! they were gone. I'll spend another hour and a half later this evening trying again. Thanks for everyone's interest.

Damn technology. Great when it works, sucks when it doesn't.

Welcome to the site - great looking car. I've always wanted to run a car down the quarter mile just to see what it would do. Sounds like you have the hang of it.
