I have 70 gtx with a tic toc dash and a new under dash harness. the connections on the back of clock have 2 blue with tracer and 2 green. green come from fuse box with a color change in the harness. the 2 blue come to the fire wall block. Is this correct and which terminals do they attach to. please help.

Even though my car is a 68, the tic toc tac is the same. There is a constant power connection, a wire that goes through the firewall to the negative side of the coil, and a wire connected to the dash light dimmer circuit connected to a lamp plugged into the back of the tach/clock assembly housing. In my car the power wire is dark blue, the tach wire is gray with a tracer, and the lamp wire is orange. The tach wire goes straight through the firewall through a rubber grommet, not through the bulkhead connector.

I don't understand what you are saying here. If you trace a wire through the harness that is one color and then changes to another color after going through the harness, someone has messed with the harness. The whole point of color coding is to be able to trace wires through the harness. Is your new harness made to be OEM, or is it a DIY? Does your car have a rally dash? Do you have the tach and clock combination or a square tach?

the harness was made oem and from classic industries. i have a seperate tach harness and can't explain these 2 wires with round terminal ends. don't think they belong to tach but can't find them on schematic
