The question I have is this is a 1971 Plymouth satellite in 1972 Plymouth satellite engine compartment wiring the same color code I am rewiring a car and I have a schematic diagram in the color codes do not match I am having a little bit of issues because I got the car without anything in the engine compartment

There were some changes between 71/74 B body wiring. 72 and 73 are closer than 72 and 71. On engine bay some of the changes came out between forward lighting harness and engine harness, getting some wires swapped around between them. Wires like brakes prop valve, horn, wiper washer, starter relay were the most affected on this swap all along the 71/74 production.

This is without mention some 72s got the harness ready for electronic ignition if it was an HP car, but this doesn't affect on the bullhead pin out thought

Also 72/74s got the NSS ground signal into the cab for the seatbelt warning system while 71s didn't. But this wire runs into the same transmission harness. However this also made a change on how to run the wires on AC cars, where 71 got compressor and blower into the Transmission harness plug, on 72/73 just the blower but the Compressor on engine harness plug.

71s and 74s got the tach wiring ( if equipped) running through the bulkhead, 72 and 73 were throught the firewall with a grommet. On 74s specially on AC cars.
