So I thought I had these tagged.

I had my bolts stuck in a piece of cardboard and labeled.

5/16-18 and look just like fender bolts and hood hinge bolts.

I can't find the three speed nuts that clip into the inner fender.

I did find three speed nuts in the same area I had the bolts stored in.....but they are 1/4-20.

WTF?

I checked my 72 and it's different, but the bolts are 5/16.

Am I losing my mind?

What do those 1/4-20 speed nuts go to?

It looks like they fit and line up with the batt tray location but the outline of the washers on the batt tray match the 5/16 captive washers.

I'll get pics this afternoon.

Hey, does the headlight harness go in that plastic channel that the brake line goes in?

The bolts for the battery tray are similar to the fender bolts, mine have a larger washer for what ever reason. Regarding the plastic channel, yes, the headlight harness and the AC switch harness for the drier go through it as well as the positive battery cable. My brake line runs underneath that channel, and once you put the washer bottle in place its mostly hidden under it. Here is a picture when I was building that shows the channel and one of the battery tray bolts.

Regarding those 1/4 20 speed nuts, there are two smaller bolts are for the brake line brackets for the line that goes to the drives side front line, and there is one that is for the headlight harness ground, but that is threaded bolt similar to the fender bolts. Without seeing what they look like I can only guess.

Is there a brace between the center of the K and the front core support? On my 68 there is and it attaches with 1/4 speed nuts....just a thought
