They are attached to the body with wire spring clips slid into the molding and 1/4" holes in the fender. Fronts also have a couple clips with studs and PAL nuts. You should be able to see them sticking through the back side of the front fenders. Pliers can help squeeze them to get them released. Rears have a couple Phillips screws holding the ends as well as the wire clips. Sometimes a door panel tool can help work the clips out of the holes in the body. Don't get in a hurry, moldings can bend pretty easily.
