All I got is what is off the fender tag, D6B6-Trim Luxury, Vinyl Bucket Seats, Blue.
Im going to get one of those dash caps that you glue on and Im going to paint all the trim and dash cap to match.
I have used at least 3 of those caps with real good success, one I even took and old dash and cut everything out of it except the mounting points and used the cap as a dash in a Corvette and it was great!
I just opened the new box of carpet that came with the car and its light blue, nothing close to anything, I think the guy ordered the wrong color. It wouldn't match anything in the car!!!!
I had to have my local body shop match my color to the vinyl for the plastic panels and trm because the ditzler colors listed in the service manual didn't yield a color that was even close.
My plan is to get medium blue carpet and paint all the plastic to match, because some is already lighter and darker from age and the vinyl tops of the door panels are darker anyway. Just rattle can paint will do, im done with the car show scene after this past summer, im doing this car to suit me and give me something to do and not let cars get away from my life.
I see Summit sells rattle can paint and as easy and fast as they ship I will probably stick with what they got.
I too want to paint the interior pieces of my car. I am changing from blue to black. What kind of adhesion promoter are you referring to? I don't want this to peel off in 6 months. And will it stick to pieces other than plastic? Suggestions?
Thanks
I have used Dupli-Color Adhesion promoter on my fan shroud, splash guards, bumperetts, etc with good results. Just make sure you clean and degrease and lightly scuff the parts before using. You have to do 2 to 3 light coats, and have your color ready to spray within 10 minutes of the last coat of promoter.
If you are doing metal parts, then follow the typical methods for painting metal, clean and use a good primer for metal(if its bare) before spraying color.
