Agreed, I'd be swapping that yoke soon.Don't go too long with that slip yoke or the new bushing will be junk.

Thanky kindly, sir.Your the only hell your momma ever raised!
When someone calls me sir, I tell them "that was my dad's name".
Nice to hear you're on the road again. You got a grip on her now![]()
I plan to....soon as I figure out which one I have.Don't go too long with that slip yoke or the new bushing will be junk.
Yep. My driveshaft probably isn't even the "right" one for the car, but it fits perfectly.Agreed, I'd be swapping that yoke soon.
I got under there and put a tape measure on the thing this evening, checking the u-joint cap and it looks pretty close to 1.25" (!).Ed, this more than likely the one you need but your gonna have to do some measuring to be sure.

Depends on what you were looking for.Ed did I miss something, all I saw was a drive shaft on the floor?
Man, I've searched for a while online for a reference source for driveshafts in these cars and found absolutely nothing.i think that type of shaft was used in the 70 v code cars
It's funny you say that - there's a slight possibility this one may have come from a '65. Several other (wrong) parts I've since replaced on the car have so far, I've discovered.Ed maybe I missed something on other thread? I don't know when for sure they stopped inertia rings. My 66 has one and I have a 68 driveshaft with out one. Waiting to see how bushing replacement goes.
I have one to do.
