My Road Runner came with degraded window trim from the sun. The grained finish is really flaking. Just a slight brush makes a mess. Our local restorer says he restores these by sanding to metal or to healthy coating, then applying a heavy coat of primer and while the primer is still soft, blotting with 80 grit paper and applying a slight shift of the paper, then sand and color finish. We will see.

Any other solutions?

if you are talking about the vinyl pieces, you can take these and do a gentle bead blast on these that will take off the loose parts. to get the grain look back, take a spray can of bedliner and paint your pieces. then you can re-dye with any color you want. the black bedliner will cover with a couple of top coats . what ever suits you. i used this on my challenger interior trim about 10 years ago and it stilln looks good

Would really like to see some photos showing your results.
