Today was another great day. I heard the total count on Wing Cars was 250. There were people from Sweden, Germany, England, Canada, and all over the US that I talked to. I'm sure there were other people from other places that I didn't meet, as my old worn out body doesn't get around as good as it once did. I've posted pictures on some previous threads that are still in progress. Just thought I would get a new one going.

Love those track pictures. I'm not going to make the trip to Talladega tomorrow. 70% chance of rain between here and there and my wife is still not 100%. I didn't get to load my car this evening and all my old stuff are fair weather transportation. Hope to see you and your wife Monday, but if not be safe going north.

Wow, you’ll never see that many wing cars in the same place again! Historic for sure.

Thanks for all the pics. Gorgeous cars.....all of them...

Cool to see the NASCAR race just now give you guys some time on National TV

AWESOME

Bucket list deal, someday I'll go & see them & that event...

thanks for sharing all the photos

I hope no wings were hurt in the process :D

:luvplace:

I guess it will be 5 more years until the next one, but my buddy who went said before he left that this one may be the last.

That's what Tim Welborn was rumored to say, but one will have to wait and see.

I sure hope for another. If not for Cruisin the Coast, I would have been there.
I went to Mopars at the Museum and that was my first time meeting Tim and Pam, seeing their house and museum, and my first Mopar was a 71 Charger R/T which Tim seems to like.
A little wide in the "hips" for me, like the 71-74 Roadrunners...Only way to visually "fix" that (what I perceive to be a) problem is to stuff really wide tires in tubs..VOILA! All good then.

 Bob ! Yes the Purple People Eater and 4 other wings are Bob and Jean Jennings cars.

Me and Bob..and the car in question.

That purple bird was at MCACN in Chicago in 2017. I believe it was once owned by the guy in NY who had a white bird restored on GYC. In fact, I think he owned it at the time it was at MCACN and it may have been for sale then. Or am I mistaken about that? It's a cool period piece. It has it's own diecast, too.

Mike Hill from South Carolina owned it at MCACN. He also owned the 2 Birds in the field down there, one of which is the white one restored by GYC. I bought it from Mike Hill. It will remain in the Day 2 paint scheme. It does run and sounds like a dream. It may be going to the Smithsonian's car-connection AACA museum in Harrisburg, PA for 6 months starting in November for their Flower Power display-still working on details for that.
